By Scott Kanowsky

Investing.com — U.K. retail sales grew in October, rebounding from a decline in the previous month that stemmed from the closure of many businesses due to the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, according to data from the Office for National Statistics on Friday.

Sales volumes rose by 0.6%, up from a downwardly revised reading of -1.5% in September. Analysts had expected the figure to recover to 0.3%.

On the year, sales are lower by -6.1%.
